ADA Forsyth Institute Center for Clinical and Translational Research is inviting volunteers 18-65 years of age with gingivitis (red and bleeding gums) to participate in a 6-week dental study to test a new (investigational) mouthwash in reducing bacteria that can cause gingivitis.
You will need to attend a screening visit to determine if you qualify.
Please Note: Studies are conducted at the ADA Forsyth Institute in Somerville, MA. Participants must be present in the Boston area.

What will happen at the study screening visit?
We will:
- Review your medical and dental history
- Examine your teeth, gums, and mouth
Once you qualify and agree to participate in the study, you will:
- Rinse your mouth with a study mouthwash or the placebo (water) twice daily for 4 weeks.
There will be 3 study visits following the screening visit: 1) Initial visit, 2) 4-week visit, and 3) 6-week visit
A total of $500 will be given to cover your transportation costs and compensate you for your time if you complete the study.
