Cambridge, Mass. (July 19, 2023): The Forsyth Institute and the International Orthodontics Foundation (IOF) announced today a new strategic partnership. The three-year joint initiative will develop a global series of workshops and symposia to discuss the state of the orthodontics field, disseminate the latest research, and promote the role of innovation in improving global public health. The project combines the collective expertise of the two institutions and Forsyth’s unique ability to bring together diverse audiences in the field to encourage further research and development in orthodontics.
“There are a lot of exciting new technologies in orthodontics right now,” said Dr. Ben Wu, the Chief Scientific Officer at the Forsyth Institute. “Forsyth is pleased to join IOF’s landmark effort to encourage global collaboration and innovation in the field.”
“Forsyth’s role as a global leader in oral health made them a natural partner for us”, said Dr. Kang Ting, Executive Director of IOF. “We are already planning for our first event and more details will be available shortly.”
The partnership between the two organizations is established on a shared vision of a more inclusive, innovative, and informed orthodontic community. Bringing together orthodontic entrepreneurs, leaders in the field from all over the world, the symposia will aim bridge the gap between academia and industry, enabling the translation of cutting-edge research into practical applications.
Last November, IOF sponsored Forsyth’s Orthodontic Symposium: In Honor of Dr. Moorrees, which brought leaders in orthodontics together and demonstrated the positive impact of global networking events. This partnership builds on the success of that event.
