BOSTON, JUNE 16, 2015 – The Boston Biomedical Innovation Center (B-BIC), a healthcare consortium designed to accelerate commercialization of biomedical technologies, and the Forsyth Institute, a not-for-profit organization pioneering biomedical research for new diagnostics, devices and therapies, today announce that Forsyth will join B-BIC as a Participating Member. In this capacity, Forsyth researchers will have access to all capability and resources offered by B-BIC – grant funding, coaching, project management support, skill development, and access to FDA, CMS, and the investment community.
“We are very pleased to welcome the Forsyth Institute as a member of B-BIC because its members bring valuable, additional research capabilities to the Center”, said Joseph Loscalzo, MD, PhD, Chair, Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Program Director of B-BIC. “As the newest member of our community, their participation increases B-BIC’s pipeline of clinically-motivated healthcare innovations and expands the range of potential applications”.
