Cambridge, Mass. – The Forsyth Institute announced today the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, Sok Cheng Soh, to provide leadership for Forsyth’s strategic and operational finance. Ms. Soh is a global finance executive with broad-based experience with both private and public companies, including Repertoire Immune Medicines, Boston Scientific and Bioverativ.

“Forsyth’s new strategic initiatives on technology development and global expansion, leveraging our research strength, are progressing well” said Forsyth’s CEO, Dr. Wenyuan Shi. “Sok Cheng’s expertise, skillset and track record will help us accelerate the progress.”

As the former CFO of Repertoire Immune Medicines, Ms. Soh was instrumental in its formation through a merger of Torque Therapeutics and Cogen Immune Medicine. At Bioverativ, she led strategic initiatives to scale treasury and tax capabilities as the company spun off from Biogen as a standalone global biopharmaceutical company.

“Forsyth is very fortunate to have someone with Sok Cheng’s ability and experience join our team,” said Elyse Cherry, Chair of Forsyth’s Board of directors and CEO of BlueHub Capital. “I am confident that she will be an invaluable member of the Institute as we continue to grow.”

From 2011 to 2017, Ms. Soh was an Assistant Treasurer at Boston Scientific overseeing capital markets and leading various initiatives to support pipeline growth. With an international career including assignments in Asia, Australia, and USA, Ms. Soh has led strategic initiatives to scale growth in complex and fast changing environments. She is passionate about leading a purposeful organization and leveraging diverse talents to create strong performance cultures.

“The Forsyth Institute is poised for significant growth with the new strategic initiatives,” said Ms. Soh. “It is an exciting time to join the organization.”

Ms. Soh holds an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Singapore. She recently completed her Advanced Management program at the Harvard Business School.
