ADA Forsyth, MassBio form partnership to accelerate biotech innovation and entrepreneurship

New partnership powers biotech entrepreneurship in the Boston area

Somerville, Mass., 04/24/2025 – The ADA Forsyth Institute, a leader in dental and craniofacial research and oral health technology development, and the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MassBio), the driving force behind Massachusetts’ life sciences ecosystem, have partnered to accelerate development of biotech innovations shaping the future of oral and overall health.

ADA Forsyth and MassBio signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), agreeing to collaborate in identifying life sciences startups to join ADA Forsyth’s incubator platform for early-stage biotech companies. The program offers a full suite of resources for technology development.

Startups in ADA Forsyth’s incubator program also gain MassBio membership, which provides a range of savings and networking opportunities. ADA Forsyth will sponsor a lab bench for graduates of Drive, MassBio’s early-stage entrepreneur program, for one year at its Somerville facility. The partnership enables emerging biotech startups to build momentum and further develop and test their innovations.

“We are pleased to unite with MassBio in promoting life sciences entrepreneurship, particularly in oral health research and development,” said ADA Forsyth Institute CEO Wenyuan Shi, Ph.D. “Together, we will help cutting-edge technologies develop efficiently, ultimately supporting superior care for patients.”

ADA Forsyth provides state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technological resources at the organization’s new Somerville headquarters. Member companies also make connections with world-renowned scientists and entrepreneurial leaders who can advise on scientific discovery and regulatory processes.
