Dr. Dongfang Li earned his PhD degree from Shandong university and joined the Forsyth Institute in 2021. A current area of interest is in new molecular and cellular targets for the therapeutics in Sjögren’s syndrome, which is a prevalent and systemic autoimmune disorder characterized by immune system attacking self-salivary and lacrimal glands, leading to xerostomia and keratoconjunctivitis sicca as major clinical manifestations.
